Dr.Web CureIt! 8 is an easy to use FREE curing utility to clean your computer infected with viruses and various unwanted codes. This an anti-virus scanner based on Dr.Web Scanning Engine, the standard virus scanning engine of Dr.Web products. The utility contains the most up-to-date add-ons to the Dr.Web virus databases going up to twice per hour frequency at periods of high malware submissions.
Dr.Web CureIt! 8.0 takes advantage of multi-thread scanning when tasks are divided between CPU cores and boasts significantly increased scanning speed. It also includes a new anti-rootkit which is already available in Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web 7.0 and 8.0 for Windows. In addition, in the custom scan mode users can choose to scan the memory, boot sectors, autorun objects and other objects separately.
Also added was the option to block access to the network during scanning, which helps prevent re-infection and malicious activities while the system is being checked for viruses. Another option enables users to make Dr.Web CureIt! turn off the computer upon completion of scanning.
Dr.Web CureIt! automatically detects the language of the OS it is installed to and sets the scanner interface accordingly (if the local language is not supported, English is enabled). The utility supports the following 34 languages: Russian, Arabic, Armenian, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Chinese (Simpl.), Chinese (Trad.), Czech, Dutch, English, Esperanto, Estonian, Finnish, French, Georgian, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Persian (Farsi), Polish, Portuguese, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese.
